The time has arrived for our Annual Flash Day Weekend! May 21st - 22nd 2022

Flash Day Weekends work on a first come first serve basis. We recommend you line up early on the day to secure a spot with an artist. Each artist will decide if their flash designs are one off or duplicated.

To find out more information, please see below FAQ:

What is Flash Weekend?

Flash Weekend works on a first-come-first-serve, no bookings basis. Each artist will have sheets of pre-drawn designs for people to choose from. It is up to the artist whether the designs are one-off or duplicated throughout the weekend.

Where can I see the flash? How much will it cost?

Prices will range from approximately $100-$500 depending on the design and size. The designs and prices will be advertised on each artist’s Instagram and on WA Ink’s Instagram & Facebook pages closer to Flash Weekend.

Will all designs be available all weekend?

This is up to the artist – traditionally flash designs are duplicated however a lot of our artists prefer to do one-off pieces. If you have your heart set on a specific piece but it has already been taken and isn’t being duplicated you are welcome to contact the shop/artist at a later date to organise a consultation and have a similar piece designed for you. We recommend you check out all of the artists’ flash and have a few potential designs picked out to avoid disappointment.

What time will you open?

Doors will open at 9am to begin co-ordinating appointments for the day/weekend. We anticipate the artists will start tattooing at 10.30am. We will be there at 6am to let people into the foyer with plenty of coffee, tea, and snacks ☺

Should I line up? If so, what time?

We recommend lining up early – we’ve had people start queuing from 4am in the past! Please be respectful in the queue; we are surrounded by residential buildings and want to stay on good terms with our neighbours.

If an artist is working both days (Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd April) are they booking each day separately?

Most of our artists will be tattooing all weekend and there is a chance they will book out both days on Saturday. It really depends on the demand on Saturday. If you can only come in on Sunday keep an eye out on WA Ink’s Instagram posts & stories for availability updates.

How does payment work?

Cash payment in full is required at the time of booking. Tattoo prices will be advertised on the artist’s Instagram and WA Ink’s Instagram and Facebook pages closer to the weekend.

Can I choose what time I get tattooed?

People will be booked in the order they arrive so there won’t be much of a choice but it depends on the artist’s availability. You may end up having to wait a few hours between when you book and pay and when you actually get tattooed. We recommend Best Wishes for the best coffee and snacks and Fremantle Markets for the best feeds.

Will I definitely get tattooed if I turn up?

We’ll try our absolute best to tattoo everyone but it all depends on how busy we are. We recommend that you line up early to guarantee you get tattooed.

I can’t make it till later in the day, can I still get tattooed?

Hopefully! Keep an eye out on our Instagram stories throughout the weekend as we will be posting availability updates there. Alternatively feel free to give us a call on 9430 5843.

Can my friends come in and watch while I get tattooed?

Only the person getting tattooed will be allowed in the shop during Flash Weekend. Your friends are welcome to wait in the foyer area.

*Anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol will be turned away without a refund if a booking has already been paid for.
